The Skin Man Wetsuit is a high-stretch material that is effortless to swim in and naturally conforms to the body to reduce drag. The skin provides UV protection 40+ on the surface and the warmth needed for extended snorkelling or diving sessions in tropical waters. Long sleeves with UV UPF 30+ protection are constructed of high-quality elastic fabric and are exclusively available in long sleeves. It's the ideal garment to shield the swimmer's body from the wind, sun, urticating jellyfish, and friction with the seafloor.

Its design is built on broad panels, and the little sewing enhances the natural fabric's elasticity and reduces irritating friction. Flat stitching and anti-scuff markings' thread were used for all sewing.

• It consists of elastic nylon fabric that clings to the skin and insulates the body. The form-fitting, high-stretch fabric allows for optimum flexibility. Excellent for adding warmth as a layer under wetsuits.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a swim skin the same thing as a wetsuit?

No. A skin is a thin, close-fitting full suit in stretch fabric rather than neoprene.

It cuts drag, blocks the sun and stops chafing. It does not insulate the way a neoprene suit does.

Will it keep me warm?

Only a little, and only in warm water.

It adds useful warmth for long snorkelling or diving sessions in tropical water, and it layers under a thicker wetsuit for a bit more insulation. For British open water it is not a substitute for neoprene.

Can I wear it under a wetsuit?

Yes, that is one of its main uses. The slick fabric makes a thicker suit far easier to pull on, and adds a layer of warmth underneath.

What sun protection does it give?

The fabric is UPF rated across the arms, legs and torso, which is the main reason snorkellers and divers wear one on the surface.

How should it fit, and what sizes are there?

Tight, like a second skin — a loose skin flaps and drags. S to XXL in black and blue.

Check the size chart against your measurements rather than your usual shirt size. Flat-lock seams keep the stitching from rubbing.

How do I look after it?

Rinse in cool fresh water after every session and dry it in the shade.
