Womens Shorty Wetsuit For Swimming, the Cressi Playa is a hoodless one piece with short sleeves and short legs, made from 2.5 mm double-lined neoprene. It is a thin, easy-moving ladies shortie for pool sessions, summer sea swims, snorkelling and general water sports.

A long front zip makes it quick to get on and off. The arm and leg openings have a soft, very elastic Ultraspan braided seal that cuts down the water flushing in as you swim, and the short cut leaves your shoulders and knees free through every stroke.

Is a 2.5mm shorty warm enough for swimming?

It takes the chill off in cooler pools and in the sea in late spring and summer, and it is far warmer than a swimming costume. Cressi does not publish a temperature rating for the Playa, and we will not quote a figure we cannot stand behind. For cold British open water, a full length wetsuit is the better choice.

Is it thin enough to swim in comfortably?

Yes. 2.5 mm is a thin neoprene for a wetsuit, and the short sleeves keep your arms free. It is a general swimming and water sports shorty rather than a specialist triathlon wetsuit.

Where is the zip?

At the front. The long front zip means you can dress and undress without help, which is handy on a beach or poolside.

What size ladies shortie wetsuit should I order?

Use the Cressi ladies size chart above; the Playa comes in XS to XL. A wetsuit should sit close to the body with no loose gaps. If you are between sizes, send us your measurements and we will talk it through before you order.
