The side print is the signature style of the range: white lettering on the red pair and red lettering on the yellow pair, both readable from across the pool. The fabric has a fine vertical stripe texture and the jammer cut runs from the waist down the thigh, so it stays put while you swim, tow or climb in and out of the pool.

Our supplier describes the cut as comfortable and durable, with a snug compression fit you can wear all day on poolside, and the material as a 4-way stretch fabric with advanced quick-dry technology. Is this a lifeguard uniform boardshort?

No. A uniform boardshort is a loose short worn over or instead of swimwear, whereas these are close-fitting jammers you swim in. They are not multi-use boardshorts. How do the red/yellow colourways differ?

Only in colour. The red pair has white LIFEGUARD lettering and the yellow pair has red lettering, and both are available with or without the Swimcore logo. Many teams pair red with yellow because the two colours stand out against water, and it is the preferred uniform scheme at a lot of UK pools and beaches, so check with your employer if they specify one.

Are they comfortable in and out of the water, and what size should I order?

They are a compression fit, so they feel snug when dry and ease a little once wet. If you are between sizes, our supplier recommends sizing up for comfort. Measure your waist and hips and compare them with the chart below; the supplier notes a 2 to 3 cm tolerance on its measurements.

Do they have strong reinforced stitching, a premium fabric blend or a fast drying water-resistant finish?

Our supplier has not given us a fibre breakdown, a stitching specification or any water-resistance rating, so we will not claim any of those. What we can say is that the supplier describes the fabric as stretchy and quick to dry. If you need a specific detail, contact us and we will ask the warehouse.
